2/4 in The Valentine’s Day Series. This one of a kind reverse glass painting reimagines the iconic Ghostface killer through a dark romance lens. Heart shaped eyes replacing the original hollow stare, and a pink rotary phone pressed to a silent scream.
Hand painted in reverse order on glass, each line, shadow and detail was applied in reverse order before being flipped to reveal the final image beneath the glass. The saturated pink backdrop, splattered blood textures and shimmer details heighten the tension between sweetness and threat. Romance turned obsessive, softness turned sinister.
The glass surface adds depth and intensity that shifts with the light and gives the piece a bold dimensional presence.
